Choosing the right copy duplicator
Copy Duplicating - is it for you?
It is helpful to think of a copy duplicator as a printing press to use in the office. If you are considering buying one of these, Unigraph is regarded as the most experienced supplier in the UK, having started selling the product when it was first introduced in 1988, following its development in Japan in 1986.

The following points should help you decide whether you will benefit from a duplicator.
1. A duplicator is as easy to use as a copier.
2. A duplicator is not a copier and does not do the same job.
3. Duplicators are designed for long runs (over 20 copies of the same original document).
4. The running cost of a duplicator averages at 20 pence per 100 (0.2p per copy).
5. The running cost will not significantly increase over the life of the machine.
6. However, the cost for short runs (1-10 copies) is much greater than for a copier.
7. For long runs done regularly, the duplicator saves time, running at from 70 to 135 copies per minute, and also money, saving at least half of the running cost of a copier.
8. If the need is right for such equipment, the value is exceptional as even the entry level models costing less than £2000 are rated to produce over 3 million copies.
9. The organisations which use duplicators are typically churches, schools, printers, sports stadiums, manufacturers, prisons, hospitals etc.
10. Applications for duplicating include : Church notice sheets and magazines
School exams/class sets of documents
Event programmes
Internal forms
Delivery sheets
Re-order forms
Catalogue lists
Price lists
Magazines
Flyers
Menus
Car service reports/job sheets
Instruction sheets
Unpacking instructions
Assembly instructions
Etc.
